Canadian Women in Aviation (CWIA) is a collective of women who work in Canadian aviation and aerospace. We started in 1991 when 30 female pioneers in Canadian aviation came together sparking a sense of community that has grown over the years. Today, our community has grown to 1400 people who work across a wide cross-section of aviation trades.Over the years, the conference has traveled from coast to coast and for over 30 years, it has provided a space for women with a passion for aviation to connect. These moments of solidarity blossomed into a community of women who met every two years for four days to learn and grow from each other, to get re-energized and to get inspired.
