The Council at BCCI "Circular Economy-Green Alternative for Bulgaria", "CEGA-BG" was established in March 2021. The main goal of the Council is to work to promote the development of a sustainable Bulgarian economy based on the principles of the circular economy, the implementation new business models, transfer of innovative technologies and "good practices" leading to the reduction of waste and its circular recovery, as well as the transformation of the main polluting industries, namely: agro-industry, textiles and plastics. The main focus is to increase public knowledge and awareness of the importance of the circular economy, leading to sustainable development at regional and national level and leading to attracting new foreign companies, green and circular investments and talents.
