"BioZ - bio-based innovations from Zeitz and Central Germany" is a platform for rethinking value chains and developing future-proof products. The WIR! Alliance builds on the existing strengths of the Zeitz region and the Burgenland district: It combines cross-sectoral competencies in the agricultural, food and chemical industries. Starch, sugar, protein or fat-containing material flows are to be refined into new, high-quality products. Actors from business, research, administration and politics, the creative industries and civil society organizations come together in BioZ to develop efficient and ecologically sustainable value networks for the post-coal era. The goal is a livable and productive region with outstanding competencies in a bio-based and greenhouse gas-neutral economy, the bioeconomy. BioZ is open to committed actors! We call on companies, civil society actors and partners from the field of research to help shape the development and integration of bio-based products and processes in existing and new value chains of the bioeconomy.
