Avenue of the Arts, Inc. is a driving force for the improvement, maintenance, and celebration of the Avenue of the Arts district. It advocates on behalf of the community for the development of South Broad Street as a cultural and residential hub in Center City. AAI supports initiatives for street beautification including their routine cleaning, the maintenance of the plaques on the ground commemorating the legacies of Philadelphia musical stars, care and replacement for the Avenue's crosswalks, and the upkeep of the corridor's trees and plant structures.
