It is an homage to David's maternal grandfather's business which was known as ABetter Gasket Manufacturing Corporation. It was his grandfather's example and legacy that inspired David to create ABetter Design Company where he could dream up ideas and actualize them into real products -- much like his grandfather did in 1941!
