You might be wondering why our name doesn't have the Canadian spelling of neighbours. That's because we are an international non-profit founded in 1991 in South Korea. Good Neighbors Canada is one of Good Neighbors' 7 fundraising countries, along with the United States, Korea, Japan, Australia, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. At the same time, we value our local community, so we opened our London, Ontario office in 2017 at Innovation Works, where we can meet other social innovators. What we do Our focus is on protecting children's rights to make sure every child grows in a safe and healthy environment. We have General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) and are the official partner organization of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). To help build sustainable futures, we specialize in global community development projects involving health, education, water and sanitation and income generation. We also have emergency relief initiatives and a child sponsorship program. We work in close cooperation with local partners in 40 countries to assess communities' needs, raising awareness, advocating for change and promoting self-sufficiency. Every day, 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brain tumours are unpredictable and complex. They don't discriminate and affect people of all ages and backgrounds. They can affect vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime. Lifting this burden for anyone affected is our goal.  You donation will make an impact on brain tumours' vast reach when you give today.Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is the only national organization dedicated to providing support, education, information and research to the estimated 55,000 Canadians affected by a brain tumour.We are a dedicated team of volunteers, patients, survivors, family members, health care professionals and staff, determined to make the journey with a brain tumour one full of hope and support. We work collaboratively to serve the needs of those Canadians affected by all types of brain tumours.Every year, thousands of Canadians affected by brain tumours find emotional support and comfort while gaining a better understanding and knowledge of their disease through a range of programs and services available across the country.
