legislait is an AI-powered classroom tool to foster legal and digital literacy. From the age of ten we hold children criminally responsible, it's time we started acting responsibly and properly taught them about our laws and legal system. Research among young adults shows that they have almost no conception of their rights, while 71% of the public believes that better education would lead to improved access to justice. This holds for legal professionals too, two-thirds of whom support the increasing of law education at primary and secondary level. Similarly, while progress has been made in digital education with the introduction of coding to the national curriculum, more must be done to harness the transformative potential of AI. Ultimately, legislait is about recreating that same sense of awe and wonder we first felt seeing artificial intelligence in action, and in turn using this to create a child-centred pedagogy that makes a real impact.
