Belong is a multicultural mix of executives with a rich experience building communities for Chinese consumers, developing and deploying technology solutions for physical challenges and working with Chinese in Australia.International students in Australia face many challenges. Immersing in a new culture, adapting to a new system and being away from their traditional support networks is intimidating. Belong helps them navigate these challenges in three fundamental aspects which are accommodation, service and community. For the accommodation, Belong enables students to live together in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments, learning to share and growing together. Students are responsible for maintaining their lodging and cooking while being supported by Beyond. For service, The Belong team briefs students prior to their arrival through WeChat at any time, with any introductions, explanations or problem solving they might need. For the community, Belong act as a bridge for the student to help students forming communities through the digital, informal and formal tools – communities that will stabilise their living in Australia. In order to bond with the locals, there will be different interactive activities such as the study group, regular student community activities, the meals and shopping trips organised by Belong mentors. There will be a chance of participating in volunteering in the local community, sports and charities.
