Wintercomfort for the Homeless is Cambridge's only day centre for homeless and vulnerably housed people. Open seven days a week, we provide vital welfare services such as hot meals, showers, laundry and fresh clothing alongside counselling, support with addiction, education and development, housing and employment advice. We run a dedicated support service for Homeless Women - Winter Women which is the only service of its kind in the city. Many of these women have lived experience of domestic and sexual violence which has contributed to their homeless status.Wintercomfort's award-winning social enterprise Overstream Clean and Garden provides training and paid employment opportunities for people affected by homelessness. The business undertakes commercial cleaning contracts and both private and commercial gardening work.Our work supports people to move out of homelessness and empowers long lasting, positive change.We are keen to connect with local businesses and individuals for awareness raising, volunteering, support with training and employment and for fundraising.
