URBAN ECHOES was founded by Jolijn Valk and Rixt Reitsma. With a technical yet poetic approach to design, we emphasize the context of a place as inspiration for its future, we make unique spatial possibilities a reality and create timeless interventions.With a team of international architects, researchers and designers, Urban Echoes engages with a wide spectrum of complex challenges, constantly searching for the next level in design, architecture, art and urban design. Our work ranges from private to public; from architecture to product design; and from interventions in existing buildings to the conception and construction of entirely new places.Our inspiration comes from the uncommon. Searching for hidden layers through rethinking and researching the context, design and history of all our projects; we shape contemporary and colorful design concepts into innovative solutions.
