The American Urban Foundation turns in-depth research and programming, into comprehensive, commonsense action for the millions of men, women, and children, who call America's cities home.How do we do this?By gathering input directly from a multiplicity of stakeholders in a given municipality (i.e; government, non-profit and spiritual institutions, community advocates, business groups, and the individuals who call the city home), we then work to provide directly and immediately applicable solutions to these issues, in coalition with the community itself.Along the way, we look to empower a city's historically marginalized and disenfranchised constituencues in our processes, and work with; local, state, and federal leaders to assure that deeper, systemic, inequities and issues which stand in the way of a city's meaningful progress, are addressed and broken down.In these efforts, the Foundation strives to be; holistic, innovative, and conscientious of a city's; history, culture, and unique ecosystem, all the while assuring that, in every place which we involve ourselves, the Foundation never abandons its commitment to public service.
