Songa Energy is developing two hydroelectric projects in Burundi with a combined generation capacity of over 10MW. Detailed feasibility studies, engineering designs, and social and environmental studies have been completed, and land purchase agreements, government concession agreements, and power purchase agreements have all been negotiated. Once constructed, the two hydroelectric plants will provide affordable electricity to tens of thousands of rural households.
