Sharing Joy is a social organization created in memory of Anna Vasquez, a beautiful angel who inspired the life of her brother, Jose Saul Vasquez to help the elderly, people with disabilities, and low-income families in Osicala, El Salvador. In 2013, Sharing Joy was awarded by the Resolution Project in the Clinton Global Initiative, class 5.Jose Saul Vasquez is the founder and president of this organization. He is from a small village in Osicala, El Salvador. Saul comes from a peasantry family, so in order to pay for his elementary school expenses, he had to work. In 2008, he attended high school with a scholarship and discovered his leadership skills. His dreams were big, but his resources were not enough. However, he didn't give up, and after hard work, he was awarded a scholarship to study Business Management at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau Wisconsin. He graduated with honors and received the Presidential Service Award by President Barack Obama for his leadership and enthusiasm to help others.In 2013, he returned to El Salvador and officially established his non-profit organization with more than 30 members. Since its foundation Sharing Joy has been serving the community by providing mobility equipment, inclusion awareness, distribution of grocery baskets, cloth delivery and toys for Christmas. Jose Saul was part of a tourist committee which won two national contests. As a result, this led him to qualify for a job in the Department of Tourism of El Salvador. After turning his idea and dream into a Non-Profit Organization and contributing to the tourism field in his country. Saul decided to seek new challenges and continue his higher education.Saul is currently achieving his bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. He works for the School of Business and economic as Professional Pointer Event Assistance.
