The research institute for energy management and planning was established in 2003, with the general purpose of developing research and educational activities in different fields of energy planning and management, using capabilities and facilities of University of Tehran and Ministry of Energy. In recent years, the institute has identified itself as one of the leading institutions in providing professional and specialized training for the country's energy industry (power and oil). The institute provides professional training courses by using strong communications with reputable universities and specialized training centers around the world, including the University of Grenoble, the French IFP Training Institute ,Siemens Corporation and etc.
