The National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) is a non-for profit organization in the United States. The organization works directly with the Kuwait Embassy to provide a fruitful educational journey for Kuwaiti students in the USA. NUKS was established in 2002, when a a small group of students founded the union to act as a second embassy thats caters towards the students'​ personal, education and entertainment needs. It has grown to have 100+ volunteers working for the organization, caring for more than 12,000 Kuwaiti students in the US. NUKS is sponsored by the Kuwaiti government and many private companies with a annual budget of USD 2 million. The National Union appoints representatives that support students in their respective state. Representatives are in charge of planning and organizing events or seminars throughout the year. This includes economical, educational, social, and political seminars. They are also in charge of organizing entertainment activities, many of which are to focused on bringing students together and making them feel at home to aid with their educational journey. The main event of the year is the annual conference, which is held during Thanksgiving break. The conference is a 3-day event that consists of several seminars, ceremonies, and entertainment events. Every year, NUKS hosts a country-wide conference that allows students to meet with top firms across all industries, network with other students and attend educational forums. The guests of the conference range from government personnel, company executives, economists, politicians, and more. The annual conference is considered the largest Kuwait student gathering in the world as more than 4,000 participants attend the event.
