Asturias has two large commercial ports near, Gijón and Avilés, with complementary facilities and jetties specializing in steel and energy traffic, handling of solid bulk and goods in general, offering regular connections for containers traffic to 190 destinations in 100 countries. R+D+iAsturias is a dynamic and enterprising region that has succeeded in adapting to global markets, in taking advantage of its long industrial tradition and in promoting projects based on innovation as a tool to increase its competitiveness.As a result of this entrepreneurial culture MTCexports members are involved in different innovative projects in collaboration with Technological Centers and Universities.
