Margaret Berger-Kaplan trained as a fine artist in her youth and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Philadelphia's prestigious Moore College of Art and Design, a member of A.S.I.D. Two decades of working with several architectural and design firms led Margaret to develop her own design firm in 1999, quickly becoming one of the area's top designers.Margaret's husband Matt Kaplan, with 20 years of experience in the fine furniture business, brings his own set of skills to M. Kaplan Interiors. Together they have designed award-winning homes from Sun Valley, Idaho, to La Jolla, California, to Grand Cayman in the British West Indies. Their approach is unique: in every aspect of the process, from initial meetings through detailed plans, from choosing fabrics and furniture to actual installation, Matt and Margaret are personally involved, down to the last detail making luxury purchases affordable.
