The MGSM Alumni Association is a global network of Chapters representing the views and feedback of MGSM Graduates. Geoffrey Maclean is the MGSMAA President Turkey, MENA and heads the Istanbul Chapter. The Istanbul Chapter currently covers the following countries - Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. The MGSM Advisory Board is responsible for representing the views of MSGM Alumni and is accountable for sharing these views with Macquarie University or other stakeholder groups as required.In addition to any activities the Board is required to conduct by law, the key responsibilities of the Board include:• understanding the Macquarie University strategy and corporate plan;• monitoring the implementation of this strategy, any risks associated when transformation occurs and how the change has been adopted;• measuring performance of the programs, supporting structure and services against the corporate plan;• overseeing the accreditation, audit compliance and commercial decisions being made with regards to MGSM Alumni interests;• monitoring and influencing the Alumni culture, reputation and MGSM brand;• ensuring ethical standards and legal compliance are front of mind by overseeing our corporate governance framework.• providing sufficient administrative support to help monitor the effectiveness of and sustainability of the Board, any reporting requirements• Ensuring the Board is fulfilling its obligations for suitable engagement and communicationThe Board has adopted a MGSM Alumni Advisory Board Charter that details its role and responsibilities. An interim board of directors will be appointed subject to the MGSM Alumni Advisory Board Governance Framework and Charter.
