The mission of the Institute of Black Culture (IBC) is to promote and affirm Black culture, history, leadership, and scholarship. The IBC coordinates a variety of cultural, social, and educational programs focused on the Black experience at the University of Florida, in the United States, and across the diaspora. The Institute of Black Culture functions as a resource for individual Black students, student organizations, the University of Florida, and the surrounding community by collaborating with campus and community stakeholders to actively support efforts to recruit and retain Black students in higher education.
