For the past 25 years, photographer/film maker Gustav Schmiege has worked with some of the country's best known commercial clients, including Neiman Marcus, Oxxford Clothes, Horchow, Stanley Korshak, Rosewood Hotels, Pavestone, Pier One, Bombay Kids, Brinker International, the Jan Barboglio Collection, Red Bull and DaKine. His editorial credits include publications such as Esquire, Men's Journal, Men's Vogue, Redbook, Veranda, Traditional Home, The Land Report, Better Homes and Gardens Publications, and American Way. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Schmiege divides his time between NYC and Dallas and is equally at home in the studio or on in extreme locations such as the coast of Brazil, The Grenadines , Turks & Caicos, and the back country of Utah shooting for kiteboarding magazines."I live for a lot of things – my wife, my kids, time on the water – but there's this side to me that still can't believe I get paid to capture our world in stills and in motion.
