Ghana-Korea Information Access Center (IAC) was set up by the Republic of Korea forthe University of Ghana under the auspices of the Korean Official Development Center(KODC) to promote co-operation in the area of ICT between the Republic of Ghana and theRepublic of South Korea. The IAC is an ultra-modern facility domiciled in the BalmeLibrary. The Center was jointly inaugurated by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University ofGhana, Research, Innovation and Development, Prof. John Gyapong, who deputized for theVice-Chancellor, the Korean Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Kyun Jaemin, and theDeputy Minister of Communications, Hon. Ernest Attuquaye Armah, at a ceremony at Legonin April 2012.The Center has an IT training lab, seminar rooms, Internet lounge and an administrativeoffice, all equipped with computers, scanners, printers, projectors A/V equipment topromote IT education and Internet access.
