Geek Girls Rising started out as a personal blogging platform. It does not (still) have any advertisement and not aggressive in SEO, it is a labor of love. We have expanded, we have added another Editor in Cheif and have started to distribute content to medium, Itunes, and much more. Essentially, each writer brings their own passion. Politics has become something that was not there before, and, the topic of Gender Bias and Female Film Makers is a main focus of the site. Outside of that, we are fully immersed in the film and television world, the gaming world, books, fandom and so many other things. Right now we are in transition but when the fall television schedule kicks into high gear we should be running in a multi dimensional way. Please, if you want to contribute let us know! We really do need people who can lend some insight into rebuilding our website. Those who may want to join us on a podcast and talk about projects and topics of the week, also, please let us know.
