FirstPlay Sports was founded in 1997, based on a simple concept: offer a well organized, comprehensive array of turnkey sports programs, employ knowledgeable, energetic coaches, and focus on helping children have fun while they learn what sports are all about. Originally operating as two allied organizations (First Serve Tennis Academy and Falcon Sports), in 2010 we joined forces as FirstPlay Sports.Over the years, we've partnered with over 100 municipalities and schools where we've coached literally thousands of young people in Spring, Fall and Winter clinics, year-round after-school programs and summer sport camps. Along the way, we've provided each participant with fun, highly positive exposure to sports including tennis, soccer, baseball, flag football, basketball, lacrosse and golf. We go to great lengths to select, train and certify our coaches, who work individually with participants to teach, encourage and challenge. We're honored by the trust our communities have placed in us, and feel privileged to serve and to work with the kids under our care.Our programs are specially designed to create fun experiences for beginner and intermediate athletes between 3 and 13 years old. Curriculums, drills, games and equipment are designed based on the size and skill level of each age group. Small participant-to-coach ratios, a safety-first attitude and fun-centered focus create the perfect environment to explore the world of sports. Our quality coaches are fully trained, knowledgeable and passionate about sports. They also regard their roles as children's coaches as a calling – and a rare privilege.
