Church of England, Methodist, Baptist & Free Local Ecumenical Partnership, an inclusive group of people, a family of faith where there's always room for one more. We have a programme of worship services and activities suitable for all ages. 3 sites including a busy 3-story building in Weston Favell Shopping Centre and on a bus route, home to diverse community groups, particularly our sports hall. The Eastern District is an area of multiple deprivation and our vision is to be a transforming presence here, so we have various community projects involving highly valued volunteers. We run Weston Favell Centre Food Bank, a Trussell Trust partner, as a collaboration with Storehouse Church and St Peter's Church Weston Favell. Our fabulous team of volunteers and staff don't just give out food parcels but seek to engage with people and help them long-term, and have helped several into employment. We work with partner agencies including Community Law Service, helping people find a way out of poverty. We have a Family & Children's Worker and a Community Support Worker who provide support to many families, run tots' groups, activity groups in school holidays providing free food and entertainment, and offer support and help in many practical ways. Our main building also hosts a community café called Emmanuel Coffee Shop (a.k.a. Café Emm) which is an independent charity set up by our church; it also does great work with deprived people, and has a Community Support Worker running activities for older people and those with dementia. We have a supported work programme for adults with learning difficulties who form part of our lovely team of volunteers.
