Daniel was obsessed with drawing and painting from an early age. Inspired by his artist father he went on to study at Central St Martins in 2003.After a long break from art he decided to become a full time working artist in 2014. Daniel works with a wide range of media including pen and ink, oil, acrylic, spray paint and watercolour.Taking inspiration for his work from a passion for pop culture and influenced by his favourite art, films and music. Currently Daniel lives just outside London working from his home studio."My work is about conveying my ideas in the best suited medium. I am interested in images, static or moving. The feeling, colour, tone, shapes and patterns are key. I take reference and influence from anything and everywhere, I'm a pop culture connoisseur. To me emotion comes ahead of realism, technique is overrated, I create because I love the process."Daniel is a self-represented artist, all paintings are sold directly through Daniel Brooks Studio.
