Technology for people\\DTU develops technology for people. With our international elite research and study programmes, we are helping to create a better world and to solve the global challenges formulated in the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.\\Hans Christian Ørsted founded DTU in 1829 with a clear vision to develop and create value using science and engineering to benefit society. That vision lives on today. \\'Follow' us at LinkedIn, and receive relevant news from an organisation in progress.\\Read about career at DTU: https://www.dtu.dk/english/About/JOB-and-CAREER\Read about education at DTU: https://www.dtu.dk/english/education\\Privacy policy: https://bit.ly/2RGGVSz\\Moderation: We reserve the right to delete comments that are offensive or suggestive, personal attacks, anonymous, wildly off-topic, spam or advertisements. ----- For almost two centuries DTU, Technical University of Denmark, has been dedicated to fulfilling the vision of H.C. Ørsted – the father of electromagnetism – who founded the university in 1829 to develop and create value using the natural sciences and the technical sciences to benefit society. Today, DTU is ranked as one of the foremost technical universities in Europe, continues to set new records in the number of publications, and persistently increase and develop our partnerships with industry, and assignments accomplished by DTU’s public sector consultancy. ----- DTU Biosustain is an independent research unit at the DTU that conducts research on the development of microbial “cell factories” for chemical and therapeutic protein production. We strive to build new cell factories faster and cheaper to create viable alternatives to unsustainable production methods.
