The Consumer Assistance Council, Inc., is a non-profit organization serving consumers on Cape Cod & the Islands.The Consumer Assistance Council works with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office which receives consumer complaints and forwards them to us. Once received, dedicated and caring volunteers work to resolve disputes between consumers and businesses on behalf of the consumer. Complaints typically involve automobile repairs and sales, home improvement, debt collection and credit problems, shopping rights, and landlord/tenant disputes. The Consumer Assistance Council, while working with the Attorney General of Massachusetts, does not give legal advice. Services are given to the elderly, people with disabilities, those with language barriers, and all others without regard to income.
