Be Makers is a non-profit association (vzw-asbl in formation) dedicated to promoting the Maker movement in Belgium. Through advocacy, public relations, networking, training, knowledge sharing and collaboration, Be Makers supports the creative individuals (inventors, designers, artisans, hackers, do-it-yourselfers) and organizations (fablabs, makerspaces, hackerspaces, schools, technology centers) that form the Belgian Maker community. Be Makers will organize in fall 2016 or spring 2017 (date to be confirmed) its first annual Be Makers Festival in Brussels, the largest gathering and showcase of Belgian makers.We are a non-political grassroots volunteer organization. We welcome all motivated individuals to join our team, any maker organisation to partner with us, and any company or government agency that wishes to sponsor our efforts to promote innovation, tech education, entrepreneurship and job creation in Belgium!
