Bare Necessities first opened its doors in October 1986 in the centre of Marple - a small vibrant town with many independant stores offering fantastic choice. It was the first independent specialist lingerie store in this lovely area of Cheshire, on the border with Derbyshire. Over the years we have developed a large customer base, with many who have moved further afield but still visit us and take full advantage of our online website! Julie Matthews, the store's owner, has strived over the past 28 years to develop Bare Necessities into a well stocked store offering good quality products in a friendly and relaxed environment.In October 2011, we opened a second branch in the beautiful, historic town of Knutsford, Cheshire. Both stores were one of few to be certified as Marie Jo and Prima Donna lingerie stylists. Other brands include, Empreinte, Felina, Fantasie, Freya, Aubade, Lise Charmel, Passionata and Lejaby. Having all those years of experience, Julie feels she can offer a truly specialist service and a high level of expertise in this field. She strives to offer staff that are fully trained and work as a team to offer expert help and advice.We are now well known for our beautiful, and wide range of swimwear, with a variety of different brands! These include Nicole Olivier, Seafolly, Maryan Melhorn, Fantasie, Freya, Charmline, Rasurel, Gottex, Gottex Profile, Roidal, Emar, Sunflair and Diva. In Summer 2014, Prima Donna also launched their very own swimwear range, which has proven to be a big success!
