Good architecture, like good filmmaking, responds to the human condition in narrative form. Both creative formats encapsulate culture as the experience of space and time. ArchFilmFest brings together the key positions and preoccupations that straddle the border between architecture and filmmaking. By providing a platform for these disciplines to meet, creating dialogue around form, content, technique and technology, we promote deeper interaction between them. From storytelling themes, to the new frontiers opened by CGI and virtual reality, to architecture as central film ‘character', this festival will create space for myriad interpretations of the core premise.Our mission is to produce a unique festival experience, with an additional programme of events to take place between festivals that extends the discussion and its impact throughout the film and architecture industries.
